Welcome to genealogical website. My name is Robin RIMMER and I live at Welcome Bay, Tauranga, Bay of Plenty, New Zealand.

My great-grandparents Thomas (Tom) RIMMER and Ellen BLUNDELL were married in 1876 in Birkdale, (today Southport), south-west Lancashire, England. I have been researching the RIMMER and BLUNDELL families for many years and have collected a large amount of information and have produced a book entitled The History of the RIMMER and BLUNDELL Families.

History of the RIMMER (RYMER) Family

I have traced the RIMMER family back to the late 1600s. The family lived at Blowick, North Meols, in the 18th century and in or near Southport in the 19th century.

The History of the RIMMER and BLUNDELL Families

The book I have written takes as its starting point the marriage of Thomas (Tom) RIMMER to Ellen BLUNDELL in 1876, in Birkdale, England. Part One traces the history of the RIMMER and BLUNDELL families from the mid to late 1600s to the 20th century (see outline above). Part Two follows the lives of Tom and Ellen after their marriage, including their emigration to New Zealand in 1879. It also gives an outline of the lives of their 11 children (listed above) and shows their descendants up to 1999/2000. The book contains over 350 pages of genealogical material -the results of many thousands of dollars of research- and a unique collection of photos.
